Richard Coter is an Italian 41 year old woodturner. He discovered the world of woodturning by chance 3 years ago when seeing a clip on Youtube which left him literally …hypnotized!
His actual growth in this fascinating world began when he attended a course with a professional woodturner .
He particularly loves boxes, finials and natural edge made mainly with common timber and embellished with details in rare woods or other special materials.
He’s borrowed his unique aptitude for extreme precision from his job as a dental technician and has a real passion for turning small objects needing little wood in harmony with nature.
Such an intense contact with timbers also brought up his interest for the trees producing them, their leaves, flowers and their stories in interaction with man.
In this phase he is seeking his way into the world of turning also drawing inspiration from professional woodturners but trying to always think out of the box and being, in conclusion, very much
convinced that that any new achievement is the springboard for the next one!
